Marketplace!!! grrrrrrr How I hate it.."is your item the same as .."

Just listed a few items on marketplace.  Every item attracted a foreign person with "is your item the same as ....and a few links..... then I would buy it"
What is marketplace doing about them?
I have this every time I list a new item.  I report and block them every time.  But there is too many of them!

There is a thread about this which I can’t find , doesn’t seem to make any sense but I agree it is very annoying.

I had this with some items I put on Facebook.  I just replied yes without looking at the links just to see what their reply was, none of them replied back but I did wonder what the scam was they were trying.

Maybe links to "infected" sites so they can get c**p onto your device?

I guess one option is to state UK-only in sales.
    Another is to simply ignore.
(Of course, never click on a link in a message/email.)

Marketplace doesn’t really work like that, it wouldn’t matter what you put in the description as these messages are automatic and they wouldn’t have read any of the description anyway.

People are ignoring , reporting and blocking, but it just doesn’t seem to stop them. Obviously they aren’t dangerous, it’s just annoying when you think you’ve got interest on an item and it’s just this nonsense.

Not sure if blocking works.  In the last 2 hours I have had 6 inquires from the same person!  I keep on blocking him and leaving the group.  What exactly do the marketplace admins do??   As soon as I list something with the word "shell" or similar they take off my listing straight away .... but they can't deal with these time wasters.

Just listed several items and within a minute I had the scam message on every single item- but strangely the 'sender' was different each time.

Obviously reported  and blocked but annoying.

Are they attempting to boost traffic to their sites?
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".
