How to work out which cooker is cheaper to run?

  • The decision for gas is because it is much cheaper and easier to have a gas connection put in as opposed to a cooker circuit.

I used to have gas, my mother and mother in law both have gas with no issue so I’m fine with that aspect.

Had gas hobs for many years then got induction hob and was amazed at reduction in condensation plus find induction very easy to set for just simmering.
  • Thanks but induction isn’t an option due to the cooker circuit requirements.

A dedicated SC would probably be cheapest overall since they are so frugal.  Annoying to have to buy and host another 'thing' though
