Help! Dual Fuel contract's finishing on 6th April 2022...

Options
I can't stay with my current provider E-On - as the service has been DREADFUL.
I need to switch - but am struggling to find a switching service.
I'm a very low user so, ideally would like a provider with a low standing charge.
I also don't have a smart meter - E-On refused, 4 times, to scrap my gas boiler and a smart meter can't be fitted until it's scrapped!
And I don't have solar panels, an e-car, or storage heating.

I'm stuck what to do and don't want to stay with awful E-On!
Any ideas folks??

Sadly, the days of low standing charge tariffs are over (and probably will be for a long time yet).

Explain please - what has your gas boiler got to do with Eon.  It's your boiler isn't it (or your landlords) ?

As far as I know, hardly any suppliers are taking on new customers, unless on a very high fixed tariff.

I'm also not sure what Eon have got to do with your boiler?

Have a read round these threads for a little while and familiarise yourself with what's been going on.   We're pretty much all in the same boat.

You're probably best just to let your deal expire and go onto the standard tariff.  The "do nothing" mantra.

As for Eon's CS... sadly it's probably a toss up between "suck it up" or "raise a complaint", assuming it's something within their control that they're messing up.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

@Honest_Frederick    also clarification please -  whats the connection between your boiler and a smart meter.  A gas meter doesn't car what boiler is being used.
