Morning from a chilly Glasgow. The sky is all baby blue and pink so I expect rain.
I'll brew some coffee and come back.

Good Morning all, up at silly o'clock for no other reason than I get up when I wake up, and always have
.
Eldest DD and her OH have gone to their caravan in Deal for a week instead of NYC for two weeks today.Son-in-law and DD will isolate there and just relax and read and problay go for long walks.
She is still negative, but son-in-law positive ,but recovering well He said it was just like a heavy cold, thank goodness for the three vaccine jabs they have had.
They have managed to rebook for a week in NYC at the end of April so she will get to see my DGS, albeit after Easter.
I have two of my DGS Jack and Mikey to drop off at work at 8.15 this morning, and at 11.00 I shall be seeing my DGD Holly for coffee and cake in Dobbies as I have a birthday voucher to use up before the end of this month, left over from my last birthday last monthSo free coffee and squashy cake and a natter with her.
I'll drop my library books off on the way home .I now double up on jobs when I have to use my car to keep consumption of pertrol down.
Apart from that not a great deal to do today, probably read this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and rememeber to turn the clocks forward before bedtime
Cheers chums

Back in bed with a cup of coffee 😀
Yesterday was interesting if surprising. Firstly, the optician told me that my eyes are showing some early cataract changes. Nothing bad yet, she'll review next year unless I notice anything myself.Next, my hip surgeon examined both my hips. The new one is fine apart from some inflammation in the deep scar tissue but my wonkiness is coming from the other hip. 😱 That news shocked me, so much that I thought about it for hours. He's arranging an appointment for an ultrasound on the new hip and an X-ray on the other one.My evening was good. There's an big old church in the west end which is now a fabulous pub and puts on lots of short plays (a pie, a pint and a play). I met my friend for a bite to eat first and then the comedy show. One hour of funny stuff was just the tonic after my day! This morning I'm meeting Alan for breakfast in the west end, coming back into town for an appointment, then picking up my friend and driving home. I'll be ready for a rest tomorrow. The clocks spring forward tonight, summer is coming. 😀
Hugs to our poorlies and those with poorlies loved ones. Happy Saturday to all.13 -
Good morning, and thanks for starting Gers. Hope you have a good journey home.Sorry to see that your hips are needing further examination, i suppose it's just a waiting game now till you've had the ultra sound and the x-rays.My eyes have the start of cataracts , first diagnosed about 5 years ago, so I go to the optician every year, but fingers crossed, mine have barely got any worse. DH is the same.Ds and Dil came yesterday, and Dil and I went out to scour the CS's , I found a lovely Per Una cardigan and she bought a casual blouse. It was good to see them.Litttle Dgs is 4 on Monday and he's having a bit of a do today in a large soft play place a few miles away. It's hell on earth, the noise is unbelievable, then there'll be a trip to a nearby MacD's. I've made a cake to his precise instructions, which will be taken to their house and cut there. Then we'll reel thankfully home and collapse. It's a nice day anyway, must remember the clocks tonight.Hope you are enjoying your weekend Ruby, don't have guilt feelings, you need this.Taff, the vision conjured up yesterday when you said your ribs were on their knees because of the work you'd done was interesting! Thoughts to the poorly people, and those struggling with life.Take care folks13

Morning folks and thanks GERS for the new Daily. Sorry to hear you have a couple of unexpected problems Another glorious day is forecast. Yesterday, after a quick whizz all round with duster and vac, I went out in the back garden to carry on with my tidy up. I also planted the bargainous pansies I had got ( reduced to 50p a tray of 6!) and 2 lots of lily bulbs. Then the seat and my book started calling so once again downed tools! It was lovely just sitting enjoying the sun again and it got up to 19 deg. Sadly its back downhill after the weekend.
I'm away on the first bus this morning as I have the pleasure of my 2nd Covid booster jab for the oldies. I have to catch another bus from town to the big hospital for it. As the bus stops right outside the department where they are holding it there is no walking involved thank goodness as it's a big sprawling place. Once back home the back garden may be calling again, it would be a shame to waste all this sunshine. The front garden still awaits a good sort out but that can wait!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies and poorly loved ones. It seems that it's most of us just now. RUBY enjoy your little break and hoping the weather holds for you. We went to Poole some years back, lovely little place. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Being taken out for a Mothers Day lunch today by both my sons and their families. Will be a lovely treat.
Going to ask the boys if they can move things around for me in the greenhouse as I would like to grow a couple of tomatoes and a cucumber . Sadly not able to be self sufficient any more but will enjoy growing what I can.
Saw the practice Nurse yesterday and she has given me some dressings for the breast area that recently had a radiotherapy treatment. Sadly no improvement to the area.12 -
Morning everyone I will start with wishing all the poorlies a better week I can’t remember who has what my brain has just been like cotton wool this week but I feel better today just sniffles so hopefully I will see a bit of sunshine because I don’t intend doing much as my grandma used to say the work will be there when your not the dog is getting her hair cut this morning I reminded her at 5 this morning when she was sticking her ice cold nose on my neck that I have worked all week to keep her go to sleep it’s like having a toddler. Morning All
The sun is shining brightly this morning, it's due to stay nice all day. I'm going into Glasgow to meet with work colleagues for my birthday lunch with them, it's at the Piping Centre so really looking forward to it as I've never been there before.
My bus pass arrived yesterday although it will take about 2 hours to Glasgow but I will get a discount on the train, may even have a glass of wine with my lunch!
Enjoy your lunch out poppy.
Happy Birthday to your DGS Scarlett, his 'do' sounds like fun for a 4 year old but wouldn't be for me!
Gosh Gers, that's a lot to think about. Glad you enjoyed your comedy show.
Not dipping this morning, will wait until tomorrow. Not doing any washing today either but will treat myself to a nice long, hot shower.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot - forecast is for a decent day - we'll see. I have wash load ready to peg out on the line, got a load line dried yesterday.
OH watching catchup tv, DS1 getting ready to go to the gym, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my brekkie whilst on here.
Dinner last night was fish cakes, jacket potato, beans, cheese and salad. Not sure what we'll be eating tonight.
Keep safe and well x

Morning everyone
Lovely bright morning again here - wish it would last but we seem to be forecast snow on Wednesday!
Had a nice chat with DD in Germany this morning before I got up - she was going swimming this morning.
Had a lovely Indian takeaway last night with DD and little one for DD's birthday - though I'm a bit boring as I don't like anything too spicy. Little one can heat hotter curries than I can!
She is delighted with her new sand table - she said 'granny it's fantastic!' It's very heavy with the sand in so should be safe from any future storms.
She is coming for a sleepover tonight so DD can go out - when I agreed I hadn't realised the clocks change tonight - no doubt it will be an early start tomorrow! Never mind, I'll have a lazy day today.
The nurse got blood from me on her first attempt yesterday - I was amazed as it usually takes ages. I arranged my chest xray for next Tuesday.
Hope everyone has a good day today Take care x10 -
Good morning everyone, thanks for the start Gers.
I slept for most of yesterday. Got to about 11am and just felt overcome with fatigue so lay down on the sofa and woke up at 2pm, and only then because DH was on a call REALLY LOUDLY. Ate some soup and then went to bed until 6pm. We had a takeaway last night - I chose a chicken and bacon salad, had a bath and went back to bed. Feel slightly better this morning, but not going anywhere apart from the garden which is in desperate need of tidying up. Will see how I go. I'm due to go to Scotland on Friday for a 200 mile hike, so need to be fighting fit for that!
Hope all the mothers enjoy their days out. My children are staying away and we've cancelled plans to see my mum and MIL. It's DHs birthday tomorrow too, so another takeaway unless DH wants to shop and cook!
JackieO - so said that DD and SIL can't go to NY but glad they have managed to rebook for later on. Enjoy your coffee with Holly.
Gers - enjoy your time in Glasgow and safe travels home.
Poppy - have a great time with the family x
Scarlett - had to laugh at the noisy play place description - I remember those days lol
Hugs to all the poorlies including Nelski and mum, NRA and dad, poppy, taff, Izzy and anyone else I've forgotten.
Wishing everyone a good day.
