Thankfuly im not experiecing the surge in oil prices myself, gas is bad enough lol.

It’ll be interesting to see whether the number of electric cars being bought increases over the next few years. Of course that doesn’t solve the problem of fuel prices now for the majority that can’t just switch to an electric car (me included). Plus the fact that an electric car isn’t fully green (eg. rare materials needed for batteries etc.)

The issue with gas/electric more generally is there will always be a lag in creating the infrastructure to produce the wind/solar/hydro/nuclear to fill the gap left by gas. Hopefully it’ll be taken forward anyway so we can move away from fossil fuels, but it’s whether there is the will to take it forward.

Whatever we chose, it has to be something that we can generate ourselves, without being dependent on other countries for supplies. It will probably galvanise solar generation on houses, although I must admit I wish it was a lot cheaper to install.
