Help please - I can’t work it out!  Would a space saver (115/70R/16) from a Suzuki Ignis (fitted tyres 175/60R/16) fit a Suzuki Swift (fitted tyres 185/55R/16)?

Advice gratefully received!

Can't be certain as you haven't listed the offset of each wheel. Assuming the PCD (the wheel nut layout) and the offset are the same then the rolling circumference is the next consideration.

    115/70/16 is 1781mm
    175/60/16 is 1935mm
    185/55/16 is 1915mm

So the circumference is actually closer to the 185/55/16 meaning the speedo will be more accurate.

You need to compare the PCD and the Offsets of the wheels as well to be sure.

Tyre size and stud pattern is OK - providing the Swift is not the 5 stud Sport.  The  Swift came with 2 different offsets for the standard wheels but I would think a space saver would likely be the same across the range and accommodate that difference.

Bought a 'Pre-Reg' Suziki Vitara that came with a can of magic tyre repair  - Refused to purchase without a Spacesaver kit which the dealer thew into the deal for free, (£300 on the price list), which consists of a small wheel with a large tyre that must be inflated to 60psi, a clamp bolt to secure it into the wheel well, a jack, a wheel wrench and a warning notice not to exceed 50 mph

Being one of the awkward squad I took a standard wheel off of the car, and low and behold it fits exactly into the wheel well, and now as my daughter bought a Swift with a can of 'magic' puncture repair, I'm scrap yard hunting for a proper wheel for her to carry as a spare.

Yes, I too refuse to travel around without a spare wheel - space saver or full size! I’m just trying to find out whether the space saver I had for the Ignis will be okay for the Swift…

My Peugeot is a 7 seater and does not have a space for the wheel, not even sure if it has a jack.
Just 3 cans of holts tyre seal and breakdown cover.

If you already have the swift, you could try the space saver on the hub.
