Voice Bridge - answering landline calls on my mobile phone?

I would like to be able to do the above and gather a voice bridge is the answer. I would be interested to hear from  anyone who has managed to do this successful with any tips, advice etc.

I can't find any voice bridges currently available for sale online so wonder if the firm who sold them has gone bust?

Thanks.

Call forwarding does the same job, does it not?

    Thanks for the posts.

Neil_Jones - No call forwarding is not the same. Apart from needing to be switched on and off as appropriate, it does not allow you to also, for example, make outgoing calls from your mobile (anywhere in the world) on your landline.

matelodave - Yes, quite right and the invoxia voice bridge seems to be market leader but, as I said in my initial post, it does not seem to be available for sale at present. A supply problem or have they stopped making it...?

That's why I wondered if anyone else had managed to do this with another product that they could recommend?

I think these days you would use VOIP for that purpose

As littleboo say, try VoIP, have a look at something like Sipgate - https://www.sipgatebasic.co.uk/?msclkid=d0ec8841ad0911ecb36a8c9aa6bc4b27

The current issue of the Computer Active magazine (issue 628 30th March page 35) has an article on how to set uo VoIP using Sipgate and a VoIP adapter which seems to be much more versatile than the Inovxia unit

(TBH I reckon that the Inovxia unit has been made obsolete by VoIP)

VOIP has been around for years and the Invoxia voice box uses it to link landlines and mobiles.

I am aware of Sipgate but, as far as I can see, this is just a VOIP alternative to a landline. What I'm looking for is something that will enable me to connect my existing landline (with DECT phones) to my mobile phone. Surely there is another product, like the Invoxia voice box, that will do this? Or am I missing something?!

I don't think there will be much demand for it,you are trying to interface between an end of life product which is being withdrawn (pots) and it's replacement. You may get one second hand on eBay.

Why do you want to do this? I can't really think of a reason why you would want to do this over other options such as VOIP or just using your mobile for all calls?

I'm obviously missing something here!? So how else, for example, do I easily answer my existing landline calls on my mobile phone?

That begs the question why do you need to receive calls on your landline?

If you have a mobile then why not just give everyone your mobile number and stop using your landline?

If you want to keep the landline number and make calls using it then why not switch the number to a service like Sipgate?

I'm not sure why you would need to keep your existing physical landline when these other options existing so that's why i'm asking?
