Yes of course, if you can get your disposable income to less than £75 per month, and you meet the other criteria, then I don`t see why not.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum.

I think you really could do worse than contact one of the free debt help agencies. If you arranged your DMP through one of them, why not contact them to see what they say.

A few years ago I turned to StepChange, who helped me to get a DRO and really turn my life around. Like many others on this forum, I know what it's like to think you are drowning in debt and there's no way out.

You could phone them, it's a free call and free advice, just to see what they say. Here's a link -

You may know already but they are friendly, helpful and non-judgemental.

Are you with stepchange/payplan? From what you've told us they should not have put you in a dmp and should have recommended bankruptcy, which makes me wonder if you're with a fee-charger here.

    Also 650 x 30 = 19500, yet your debt has only gone down 14000

Suggests the OP is paying some kind of fee`s here.

I think you would strongly struggle to get a DRO if you have been paying £650 per month for 2.5 years without relying on further credit, unless you have had some significant change in circumstances.

DROs are intended for people who, through no fault of thier own, cannot afford to repay anything to their debts. I'm afraid they're not a quick-fix for anyone who simply doesn't want to pay their debts.

I agree with Fatbelly, bankruptcy was likely a better option but given how far you've now come it's unlikely the benefits over continuing with your DMP would be minimal. Likely your best bet is switching to a fee free provider, or contacting creditors directly and setting up direct payment plans with them at the amounts you're currently paying - eliminating the middleman and the fees
