Ferry cancellation booked online and cancelled within 14days

Hi does anyone know if I’m entitled to chargeback an online booking I made with DFDS and then cancelled within 14 days. They have said I am not due to a 100% cancellation fee. Wondering if online selling consumer law will allow me to chargeback through my bank as I cancelled within 14 days? Thanks

Have DFDS done anything wrong to initiate a chargeback dispute?
Travel falls outside the distant selling rules.
Did you buy a non-refundable, non-changeable restrictive ticket but now would like to get a refund?2 -
No fault from DFDS and cancelled due to personal reasons.

You agreed to any of those terms and conditions on purchasing.
Unless the fees are not mentioned then you have a case

Then a chargeback is not appropriate. There is no fault from a suppliers action (or lack of).Pete456321 said:No fault from DFDS and cancelled due to personal reasons.
Chargebacks and Section 75 claims are not a form of 'get out of anything' insurance. Sorry!0 -
If the personal reasons are covered by your travel insurance policy you could try claiming there.Pete456321 said:No fault from DFDS and cancelled due to personal reasons.0 -
In this case as you cancelled, you will be bound by the terms and conditions you willingly agreed to on entering into a valid contract. Most travel services including flights and hotels (and I assume ferries) are outside of the Distance Selling Regulations as the prices of these can be highly volatile.
This is a matter for your insurance, if any.💙💛 💔0
