Just a reminder to people with EDF that their Electricity Direct Debit review system is a complete joke - if you don't read their 6 month review carefully you could be paying out a lot more money than is needed.
Currently on a Electricity Fixed Tariff until June 2023 (with smart meter feeding in consumption data to them continuously).
Just got the 6 month review of the direct debit and they are putting it up by £39, from £86 to £125.
At the same time the account was in credit by £63 and they are refunding that at the end of the month as my actual consumption is less than they estimated.
Even more amusingly, the invoice has a new annual estimated usage for the coming year - and as its a fixed tariff, doing some calculations the annual bill comes to £600 less than what they are trying to take in via the increased direct debit!
Needless to say trying to chase this up with them but the queue on the line is horrendous.
