By the way, I am the registered keeper, not the owner the DVLA owns the car,  and being you are a lawyer why don't do something about it and stop these charlatans from doing this it is daylight robbery!  and I will see them in court.

Crikey!! We don't see that many cars here that are owned by the DVLA.

Would be quite interesting if we could explore that issue further on your own thread.

Hatty, Excel are beatable in court and have been on numerous occasions with help from the forum regulars.

Regarding stopping the charlatans from daylight robbery many on this forum have been involved in the new CoP which will curtail the activities of these money grabbing PPC's. All the regulars will have undertaken the public consulatations and written to their MP's when the PPC's, their employees and relatives tried to circumvent the outcome of the public consultation. There are two forum members who have been directly involved in the introduction of the new CoP. So more goes on in the background than people may think.

As a person who has been through the process with the same company as yourself I do understand your frustration. It's unpleasant getting letters from debt collection agents especially when you consider them to be the a-se end of the financial services industry. As a previous customer service manager for a large company I was horrified at the way that they deal with people who are using their services. They are absolute scum.
