Dropped curb parking

Do you use the land?
Is the car preventing you accessing or exiting the land or are you just objecting to someone parking there?0 -
Hi
Thanks for all your replies! I have have been going backwards and forth between Police and Council to see who would deal with this.
Only reason I didn't put a gate originally as the padlock can be cut easily. I have had this in the past where a padlock was cut to gain access and loads of cars were dumped in this place.
I will be using this space soon to do an extention. Until this is done, I thought a temporary fence would be a good solution. I can't enter or exit as now there is a car parked bang in the middle of the dropped curb.0 -
Presumably you also can't enter or exit now as there is a fence across too?fine27 said:Hi

Which, being not much more than a glorified gate, can be easily removed by hand.Presumably you also can't enter or exit now as there is a fence across too?1 -
I've seen gates made with heras fencing before. I really don't see the relevance, its a dropped kerb and the OP has rights to enter and exit his property via the dropped kerb as and when.0

If you make it more obviously a gate, possible with some kind of "No parking, 24/7 access required" that probably won't stop the car but it'll give you more sway with council, etc.If it looks like a fence then I can see people reasonably thinking it's not a problem since there's nothing to block.
What are you planning putting in place once the extension is built?1 -
Put a note on his windscreen saying access required for site development and no liability accepted for any damage
