Icesave "welcome pack" not arrived yet!?

How long does it take to receive the welcome pack from Icesave?

I registered about 10 days ago and still haven't received the welcome pack and online log in details in the post. I don't fancy calling the £3.70 per minute phone no. so I've e-mailed them but no doube they'll take days to reply.

I set up a transfer from my HSBC account for a large sum of money and if this is the level of service I'm going to get I feel like I should be pulling the plug in the transfer until it's sorted!

Any thoughts would be welcomed.

£3.70 a minute phone number?? It's an 0845 number, will cost you a local rate call. Alternatively SayNoto0870 comes up with 01912558377 as the geographical number, could give that a try.

When you applied did they ask you to send any forms of ID? Could be they are waiting for you to send them documentation.

Edit: I just looked on their website where they say calls will cost no more than 3.95p a minute. Did you confuse this with £3.95 perhaps? ;)

So why would they say "max £3.95" from a BT landline if it's an 0845 no. and they're free??

No they didn't ask me to provide any additional ID.

    ...weird.

0845 numbers are not free - 0800 numbers are.

    Icesave's website says;

"* Calls from BT landlines cost a maximum 3.95p per minute"

This means 3.95p - i.e. just under 4p per minute which is weekday rate and is the maximum you will pay if you have a BT line.

I've found them to be prompt with their replies. Within 24 hours.

As I said, they don't. It's 3.95 pence (0845 numbers are not free, as pointed out above - 0800 and 0500 numbers are). And if you object to that, try the number I gave you above.

Took around 2 weeks for mine too arrive, but that was a busy period for them when this account was new.

Christmas post 'might' have some bearing on time taken.....

Judging by most responses on MSE, you might be missing out if you quit now!

As others mentioned, don't worry about the call costs.

    Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)
