When to close Barclays account so as to not get billed (blue rewards) for April?

I only had Barclays for the money, they wouldn't even give me an overdraft unless I went into a branch (I opened it during pandemic, so no thanks...)
I already switched my two TSB anyway. I got a Santander that is doing nothing right now, though with energy going up I'm tempted to turn it into a 123 lite.I've opened one purely for that.I've calculated it'll only get me about £2 per month plus pence. Some will say "I can't be bothered with the hassle of opening for £2/month".But if opening an account is hassle then I have no words. It's 5 minutes of clicking & typing, if that. And it's then £24 a year to me. Hardly bank breaking but the other option is leaving the D/Ds with HSBC earning a big fat zero.I'm not too interested in overdrafts as I don't really use them.0 -
I got information about the Blue reward change from here.beefturnmail said:No need to close the account, just turn off blue rewardsI would like to keep my Barclay account even without the blue reward as this is one of the long serving AC I have. I just want to divert the DD to other accounts as well as do not want the hassle to juggle £800 without any benefit.Does anyone have any suggestion the most simple way to remove the blue reward ??
