Student finance 2022

Hi can you advise if any considerations are being made for students and student finance in the current economic climate?
With rising costs in fuel, home energy, food etc affecting parents who might otherwise support their children is there an allowance to be made in the calculation of student finance when parents are going to be otherwise left to try to support bills for students too?
My daughter moves to rented accommodation this summer in her second year, the student finance calculator states we should be adding a substantial amount to her finance, but with a mortgage, 2 other children at home, and rising costs we can barely afford to sub her £100 per month as it is.
I’m really concerned that, even with a job helping fund her time at Uni, we will struggle to ensure she meets her rent, food and living costs each month.

From a students POV, it may be more cost effective to stay in halls that have all inclusive rates than shared houses with utility bills.
