Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot - forecast is for a decent day - we'll see. I have wash load ready to peg out on the line, got a load line dried yesterday.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was a cheeky takeaway. We had some unexpected sad news yesterday.
Yesterday work was ok - early finish day today.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks- thanks for starting us off nmlc, sorry you've had bad news.Yesterday was lovely again, I had the front door open for most of it. There's a whole host of daffodils in my front 'garden' which I haven't seen for years, they're so cheery. Most of my time was spent in scanning, one letter my DM wrote in June 1946 was 12 pages long and she wrote to her mother and grandmother every three days or so. That's love! This morning I'm heading for Glasgow very early. I've got a couple of things to do before going to the theatre for the matinee performance of Cyrano with James McAvoy, I'm much more excited than I thought I'd be. 😃 Its been a long time since my last theatre visit or live performance, it's a real treat.I hope that things are going better for our poorlies and those coping with poorly family. Happy Thursday to all.16

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Hope you enjoy your visit to Glasgow and theatre visit Gers,Ruby, it's good that you are able to help your Sil, and nephews, they seem to be in a sad state in regard to their clothes, and self care. I feel for you, having lost your brother last year, and now this. You're a gem.TA, sorry to hear about your friend's diagnosis. I had a tumour discovered at routine breast screening, and I was in hospital within a fortnight for surgery, a lumpectomy and lymph node removal, followed by radiotherapy.I was lucky that it was found early and I recovered really well. Hope your friend does as well. We'll have Dgs with us today as usual for a Thursday, so he'll keep us on the go. It's going to be a nice day, we might go out somewhere.Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of our poorly people and those struggling with life generally.Take care folks.16

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, sorry you've had bad news.
Enjoy your theatre trip Gers, the drive down should be spectacular.
Thinking of you Ruby, your poor nephews must be lost. Good job they have you to look out for them.
It's dry and bright again, washing just about to go out, the bedding from yesterday went straight back on the bed, shame it didn't give me a good night's sleep, too much coughing!
I'm going back to work today, don't feel great but will feel worse if I stay home and get bored. Finished knitting a cardigan for the little one, now to put it together!
Thinking of the poorlies and those with woes, take care. XX15 -
Hi everyone,
Gers, enjoy your visit to the theatre, I'm quite envious.
We've had a busy couple of days. My visit to the opticians threw up an unexpected problem. I'd opted to have an OCT scan of the back of my eye and the optician pointed out a place in my left eye where it looks as if the retina is pulling away from the tissue it's supposed to be attached to. He said he'd refer me to hospital and I asked for Addenbrooks as I know they have a good eye department. I then spent time choosing and paying for two pairs of glasses and while I was paying my phone rang. It was a nurse at the hospital. She asked if I'd got symptoms or if I'd been for a routine appointment and when I said the latter she said she would speak to a dr and show them the scan to see if I needed to be seen urgently. A few hours later she rang back to say they would see me at a normal retinal clinic and to give me an emergency number in case I got any symptoms in the meantime. How good was that? If I'd had symptoms I would have been seen right away, I know that a detached retina needs treating urgently so I shall be alert to any change in my eye until I'm seen by them.
Apart from that we had our usual trip down to take care of Esben. L & B were going out to the opening of a new bar (work for Laura) on Tuesday evening so we babysat then and yesterday we took him out to a big playground in Hertford. to wear him out a bit. I think we were worn out before he was.
Today will be a day of cleaning and sewing I think. I've managed to stick to my diet fairly well, always a problem for me when I'm away from home so today will be some planning for that. I read that you ought to aim for between 20 and 30 different fruits and veg in your diet per week so I've started keeping a list and I'm already over 20 after 3 days.
Nelski, I hope your mum is picking up. NRA, my thoughts are with you. Ruby, I hope your mum and nephew comfort each other through this horrible time, hugs.
Have a good day.16 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Sorry about your news.
Another glorious day is forecast doesn't it lift the spirits? I made a start on the back garden yesterday and it felt so warm in the sunshine I downed tools, dragged the seat from the garage and sat reading for about 2 hours! It felt so lovely to be in the sunshine again. A pity it's all downhill again next week.
Off shopping with DD this morning. shame to waste the sunshine but hey ho! In a rush now!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Thinking of NELS,NRA and RUBY. Your nephews are so lucky to have you. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone,
Thanks for the start nmlc and sorry to hear you've had bad news x
Your nephews are so fortunate to have you Ruby. So good you can help with the practical things and provide love and support x
Gers - enjoy your time away and hope the theatre trip is enjoyable.
I managed to get all boxes labelled and stored on cages yesterday in the old office. I left just before 4pm so was home nice and early. The 'cold' is coming on steadily - I was early to bed and woke several times in the night with a sore throat. Head feels very bunged up and I have a cough too. I am going to take another LFT this morning as now 6 people from the party have Covid. Have been told I don't need to go into the office today for my usual Thursday, which is welcome news.
Dinner tonight is Salmon, jacket potato, green beans and mini sweetcorn.
Hugs to Ruby, Nelski and her mum, NRA and her dad, poppy, taff, nmlc and anyone else needing one.

Morning all
Nice and bright and sunny here again, washing can go on the line. I took my eldest nephew to the barber yesterday and they gave him the full works, haircut, beard trim, cut throat razor, hot towels, nose wax and a massage, he really enjoyed it and said he felt so much better afterwards, his new clothes should arrive today so he will at least be clean and smart, he has promised me he will have a shower everyday too. The other two lads are doing ok they work and can buy themselvs clothes etc, the eldest struggles with even the most somple things bless him.
We are away tomorrow for the weekend, my lovely dd bought me a weekend away for my Birthday, I was not sure about going due to the news we have had but the man who runs the holiday let would not cancel and there is nothing much I can do here now so we are going, it will be nice to get away, we are going to Poole which is lovely, dd has a friend coming to stay here for the weekend which will be good for her.
Hope those who are poorly feel better soon xx
Thank you for your kindness xx
Have good days all xxx15
