Private Parking Ticket - will I win at small claim court/ get a CCJ on my record?

Because you have ignored a court order to make a payment, the judgement on the record doesn't identify the basis of the judgement for the credit card company to see if it was related to parking tickets or a car crash or a debt etcCoupon-mad said:
In what way has this person ignored the law?Sandtree said:
... but as you've proven your comfortable ignoring the law then its no surprise that for most it will be a big concern.
Seems like you forgot to read the bit before about what a CCJ is0 -
Ah, unfortunately, that's not how your post reads.
It read like an accusation about the OP.
Not relevant to this OP, but people with parking CCJs have not usually ignored anything. Most newbies who come here and successfully set aside a CCJ, never even got the claim, as plenty of these rogue firms negligently or deliberately send claims to an old address. The fault is with the parking firm.
Luckily, the OP is nowhere near any CCJ and only has a PCN and some tedious threatograms from a toothless debt collector.
Even if they had a court claim they'd be likely to win here on this forum and there is no CCJ risk to anyone on this board, if they follow all our advice at all stages. So there is never a need to scare someone about CCJs on the parking board.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hence the first paragraph... that the CCJ is an unhelpful name as its not just the County Court (a high court judgement will also go on the record) and its not just because a judgement has been made but that you have failed to settle the judgement within the prescribed period.Coupon-mad said:Ah, unfortunately, that's not how your post reads.

The second paragraph was not passing any judgement on the OP but explaining that credit scores aren't to be worried about but if the potential lender sees a CCJ they will ask themselves if someone is willing to ignore the courts how much attention will they give our request for payment?
Given where the OP is in the journey it didn't seem to be worth while going into the process of a set aside, especially as they are receiving the pre-litigation communications so fairly unlikely to get into a situation where its likely a CCJ will be gotten against them and them having grounds to ask for it to be set aside... many on here that do are on the basis of having moved home etc and therefore having not received comms.

Last august 29th I parked in an area of a service station belonging to Tesco's for 1.5 hours, while I watched their in service station CCTV to see where I left my purse. I checked with the 2 sales assistants in the station that confirmed it was fine to park in the area I was in.As you were in the Tesco customer service department and they told you it was OK, you should keep on at Tesco, as already mentioned, not a customer service person but the Manager. BTW, I hope you found your purse.5

Reading between the lines am I right in guessing you went shopping in Tesco, parked your car, went into shop, shopped then left. After leaving the site you realised that uour purse had gone thrn drove back to store to search for it and spent 90 minutes trawling CCTV/ searching for it? Then left after that?
It sounds like this could be a "double dip" case if that was what happened.
This is where the time of your first visit was recorded then the time of your last exit which were over a period of 3 hours without taking into account your intermediate exit/ entrance to site.
Is that right @betty_bitchslap?

According to our eminence gris we win most court cases we advise on. Many/most jusdges are aware that these claims are invariaby a scam. Have you read them newbies and complained to your MP?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1
