Hi
I am having problems looking at photos.
The digital photos that I have put onto disk using old computer will play on my JVC DVD player, but not on my new computer.
and.....................
The photos that I have put onto disk from my new computer, will NOT play on the DVD player! They won't play on my friends DVD player either....
Hope that makes sense.
Does anyone have any ideas?
(The new computer uses Vista.)
:money:
Thanks!

What formaty ar ethe photos in, i.e. what file extension are they? If you put the old disc (CD, DVD?) in the new computer can you use explorer to browse the disc, if so can you see the phot files there? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Hi
The photos are jpg ones.
When I put the old disk into the computer, although it shows that a certain % of the disk has been used, no files appear when I look at it in explorer.

Update - the discs from the OLD computer work ok in the photo machine in Boots, and I have put disks from the NEW computer into Tescos for processing and the seemed to be able to read it ok, as I got my pictures.
Does anyone have any ideas....think it's some setting on the new computer?
Help!
Am nervous about it as don't want to lose any photos of the kids!

Hi PL
Evidently both disks are fine and contain photos, so all you need to do is find out whereabouts on the DVDs they are!
Insert the DVD into your drive, open it up in Windows Explorer, and then select "File" => "Search". Enter *.jpg as the filename. This will find all files stored on the disk in this format. If you don't find any files, try *.tiff.
You might consider getting hold of Picasa (http://picasa.google.co.uk/), or getting a Flickr account as this will allow you to post your files on the web by way of a backup.te audire non possum. musa sapientum fixa est in aure.0 -

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I tried the above but it still came up with nothing.
Not sure what's going on with it!SW: Wk1 (5) Wk2 (2.5) Wk3 - Wk 4 (4) Wk 5 - (1.5) Wk 6 (1) Total off 1 stone!:j0
