Flooring plan not shared in contract exchange for new build
Our house is an end terrace and is different design to the mid terrace property next door (5 bed v 3 bed) so it is wider, it is also deeper so the garden will be a different size to the neighbours
That makes complete sense. If the house sizes were different then it makes sense and I will just ignore whatever rubbish the sales agent said but its the same 3 bedroom house of the same design.
Even if you do manage to get hold of the plans there will almost certainly be a disclaimer on them that allows the developer to alter them at any point.
That's just one of the realities of buying a new-build off-plan.
I can appreciate the need for some alterations so I can accept that but my worry is if the building itself is slightly narrower. And as the houses on the terrace row is meant to be of same design, I want to be sure the dimensions are consistent as the prices are the same as well..
But you are absolutely right about a plan with disclaimer. More I think about it and read back on the comments, I think the only sure way to settle this is to site visit and measure. They have finished the external constructions so there shouldnt be any alterations to the width ...hopefully!!
