House buying makes you irrational..!

Options
We’re about 5 weeks into buying our new house (which happens to be down the road so we pass it every day).

We’ve got no reason to think there’s any issues (currently at enquiries stage and all going smoothly) but when we walked past today our SOLD board had been taken down and there was a ‘For Sale’ sign lying on the floor but for a different estate agents.

I can only presume that some kids have swapped the signs over but it sent me into immediate panic..!

Emailed the estate agent straight away, need to breathe and maybe stop stalking the house.. 😂

  • Have you double checked the listing on Rightmove?

Honestly that would send me crazy too! 😂

    hope it is all okay!
  • Kids these days really know how to make homebuyers quiver. How did it get to this? I blame social media.

Haha yep! Been frantically searching Rightmove and the other estate agents website (even looked for houses local that are up for sale with the other estate agent.. I think I’ve lost the plot! ((Not literally I hope! 😆))

Before I viewed the house I was buying I went for a walk around the area. Spotted a plaster's van outside the house and the paranoia made me presume they were covering up issues before viewings.

Turns out the guy who owned the house is a plasterer.

Haha phew - I’m so glad I’m not the only one! (We also saw a landscaping van outside just after the last storm and I was convinced they’d lost all their fences..! 😂)

Incase you wanted to know, the estate agent have confirmed they’ve ordered a new board to put up and told me there’s nothing to worry about!

But I’m enjoying hearing all your stories so please carry on! 🤪

My seller tells me she is moving out ready for Exchange/completion... I am tempted to look through her windows when she is out to make sure there are moving boxes 😂😂 not that I am distrustful of anything.
