Should this still be on my file ?

Hello everybody and thanks for allowing me to join.
Soo back in 2014 i purchased a car via a guaranteed finance company. The car was fine for a few months but then developed major faults. At first the finance company ssid they would pay for repair via the garage that sold it to me.
When i was told the car was fixed they asked me to contribute £2000 towards the repair. I refused to pay it and was asked to attend a meeting at the finance company to discuss my options. At the meeting i stated that, as far as i was concerned the car should not have been sold to me without a proper check being carried out. The manager at the meeting then said to me 'if i was you i'd shut my mouth and listen to what i have to say' At this point i got very angry and stood up to leave. He then ssid 'if you walk out i'll make sure you can't get a penny in crefit from anywhere'
The reason i have explained that is that the payments defaulted in 2014. In 2019 they sold the debt to Arrow financial who have now listed the default as August 2019.
Given the original default date can anybody tell me when this should be removed from my file. Its still showing as open.
Many thanks in advance

You need to complain to Arrrow (and escalate to ICO if they do not fix it) they cannot add a new default date, it must show the old account as closed/settled and the new account with them, with the same default date0
