Sofology Cancellation

After some thoughts and opinions here.  I imagine Sofology have me over a barrel, and anything they offer will be out of goodwill.

Long story short, we ordered 2 Sofa in summer last year for delivery in October.  Sofa turned up and broke 1 week later. Raised complaints with them via email, no response, spent hours on the phone, hung up.  During this time, the other sofa that we mostly use started to sag.  2 months of complaining and no response from Sofology, I went via the finance company and emailed everyone from ceoemail I could find.

Around November/Early December, they agreed to replace both sofas but with a 16 week lead time.  Waited until March for delivery and the new sofas turned up smashed to bits.  Delivery guys refused to deliver them.

Sofology have offered a replacement or refund.  Replacement is off the cards, countless people on Facebook groups have been in this loop of replacement sofas, some on their 3rd replacement, some have been stuck in the loop for a couple of years!

Cancellation wise is fine, however the majority of other companies are also operating on 16+ week delivery times.  Now its convenient for Sofology, they will only give me a refund now and collect in 2 weeks meaning we will be without a sofa until June/July!

Anything I can do? Sofology took our old sofa (which was actually fine) away for this sofa.  I've told them we're in this position because of them, and them alone.
Not sure where my rights lie, but im assuming if they're offering a refund, its out of their goodness of their cold hearts if they chose to let us keep the sofa and hold the refund until we arrange delivery of a new one (from elsewhere)?

Take the refund, buy 2nd hand and bridge the gap (we just bought new with a 3 week delivery, other colours were 7 days.. Holding refund is a bad idea given the way these businesses operate - given the refund is worth far more to you than the sofas. Even with a delay till others turn up.

Take the money.  You have 2 weeks to find a new sofa.  Look at local independent stores and see what they actually have in stock, rather than waiting to be loaded onto a boat in China.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Consider a flatpack sofa company like Snug? We have their sofas and they're great, arrived quickly and while we had an issue with a damaged part, it was still resolved very quickly.

Otherwise perhaps find a second-hand sofa for the time you'll be without ? I don't think it's reasonable to expect Sofology to give you a "hire sofa"!
