Has anyone had any experience with pet insurers Napo

We’re looking at different pet insurers for our 8 year old dog and have come across a company called Napo. This came up via a moneysupermarket comparison search.
I understand it’s a relative new company and ‘reviews’ appear to be positive but am interested whether anyone here have had any dealings with them.
I tried calling our vet practice but they haven’t heard of them, although they were listed on their system.
Many thanks

They themselves are an intermediary, on the basis the actual insurer is based out of Gibraltar its likely they deal with most things themselves under delegated authority.
They aren't regulated themselves directly but are an appointed representative of another regulated firm and only got that status in September. Actual launch almost certainly would have been some time after that. As such no one will be able to give much feedback on them, no one has had a renewal yet etc.
Personally always question why someone has chosen to use an insurer in a lighter regulation jurisdiction rather than the UK, unfortunately many of those places are ex-UK islands

Thanks for a comprehensive reply Sandtree. I think I will have to rethink this option...0
