Qashqai or something else?
I’m about to replace my 2013 Qashqai (130k miles and bad corrosion underneath) with a newer one.
Current thinking is another Qashqai. Would anyone recommend the diesel model as there seems to be a lot about? (I’ve never had a diesel but do about 13k miles per year)
Or would you recommend something else for similar money/age/miles?
If I go for Qashqai id likely be looking at a 2019 model with Nav/reversing cam about 10k miles, should be about £16k.
I’ll get £3k for mine as trade in and pay about £2k cash and get. 5 year personal loan for around 200 per month.

As for trade in, look at Carzoo or motorway.
Carzoo offered me 4k more than We buy any car0 -
There are absolutely tonnes of Qashqai like cars so you are spoilt for choice. Sportage, Karoq, Ateca, Tiguan, Tucson etc etc list goes on….
Id not limit yourself and see what you can get the best deal on.0 -
Considered an EV? Something like a MG ZS EV is comparable I would imagine.
At 13k miles/year you could cut your fuel bill by around £1000+ per year.0 -
I have (although it is on a semi-permanent loan to my daughter) 65 1.5 dTi N-Tec Qashqai, excellent car and never had a major issue with it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, although I might opt for a petrol model.0

It’s a little smaller. But an absolute bargain. Was looking at them the other day. Crazy prices for what you getDrEskimo said:Considered an EV? Something like a MG ZS EV is comparable I would imagine.

I'm surprised a 13 plate vehicle has bad corrosion underneath. That alone would put me off buying another one.1

If you live close to the sea, that can make corrosion worse than normal0
