Problems with my gas supply/boiler

Hello there, I wonder if anyone can help me?
I’ve been having a problem with my heating for a couple of weeks now, and it seems to have got progressively worse. The first problem being that although my boiler (3yrs old service 10months ago) is heating the water, both my hot supply and my radiators are just warm, it impossible to have a bath and my house is freezing when the radiators are on full blast.
The second problem I’m having is my fire cuts out for no reason and sometimes the gas seems to cut off briefly then suddenly come back through, causing the flames to die, then jump back to life.
I’m aware that I’m going to have to get someone to have a look at it, but we go on holiday in a couple of days and I want to wait till we get back to sort it as money is very tight.
I was just wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone, and if so is this urgent or something that can be fixed easily.
Thanks for reading, I would appreciate any advice.

Hi
What make and model of boiler?
Do you have a gas hob? What is the flame like on that when the boiler is on?
You could check where the meter is to make sure the control valve is fully open.(in line with the pipe).

Hello there, thank you so much for replying. The boiler is a Baxi 80eco, yes the gas hob appears to be working fine, however sometimes does seem to take a while to light, but the flame seems pretty steady.
The valve is fully opened and I've rechecked the taps, they seem to be running very hot (too hot too touch) for a couple of seconds, but is then back to luke warm. I've also tried turning the tap on fully as well as only a little bit and there is no pattern to it going hot/ cold using this method.
Thank you for taking the time to reply to me,

Hi
If you had a problem with just the boiler I would have suggested something within the boiler such as a sensor, thermostat or gas valve. But you say you have a problem with the gas fire as well , so I am suspicious that it's a supply problem (as title suggests) It might be the gas main from the street, the meter governor, or blocked pipe from meter to boiler/fire.
Whoever deals with emergencies in your area (Formerly Transco) will deal with the street and meter side.Your friendly Corgi with the rest.

Hello,
This might be a bit late!
It sounds very much to me like pressure problems, the amount of pressure in the gas going to your home. You have checked the Meter Control valve is open & as mentioned the gas is off then comes back on, pretty much like Fluctuating Flames. It can be bit dangerous if not dealt with as gas can come through unexpectently.
I agree with Corgi guy, call National Grid. They are a free emergency make safe service. They will be able to diagnose the problem at no cost, if poss fix it for you. The number is 0800 111 999 they are 24 hours 7 free, Im a manager there & we deal with cases of this all the time.
