hello
I purchased a sofa off DFS (Scotland) 11/01/22 it got delivered 18/02/22 but after the delivery guys left I noticed quite a bit of damage on it,
I also witnessed the drivers trying to screw in mahogany wood feet when I asked for chrome, there were a few tears in base fabric, and an almighty smash on the wood at the arm, as shown in photos,
I reported it right away, and was told id need to wait for an engineer to come out, well that happened on the 17/03/22 by then a few things had happened, it was the most uncomfortable £1463 ever spent, it was making my back worse. so I said to engineer take it back.
he said he could repair it and make it stronger than before, I said nope, take it back,
on the 19/03/22 the store manager called me, omg 1 cheeky man, he told me he couldn't take it back, I said its broken, I said I don't
want it, he argued and argued with me, he then said he would get the engineer out on 12/04/22 to repair it and would give me £200 consolation prize/discount.
can he do this.
I will also never buy anything off them again. bully management

What you should have done is rejected the sofa outright for a refund within the first 30 days which is part of your statutory rights under The Consumer Rights Act 2015. This is what they do, make you wait for an engineer who comes out and wants to repair the damage. You refuse then the store manager arrives and offers the repair and a discount. You are within the 6 months timeframe to request a replacement sofa. Good luck.
