So get comfy!! We bought an oled 83inch tv 2nd oct 2021 ! It was delivered on 16 th November. Cost £5000 ! Buy now!pay in 12 months. We had our room decorated !! a cinema unit built for tv. It was fitted professionally 14 th dec in time Xmas. January 2022 sat down to watch movie ! POP! Black screen n line a quarter of way in from top to bottom ! So the saga begins! Went into a local curry’s store who arranged for it to be picked up. So Monday 24 th Jan took day off work to wait for them. 5pm at night no sign. They never showed. My husband went back to store explained what had happened they apologised n arranged to pick up 28 th Jan. Another day to cover being in! When they arrived to pick it up ! the box they had was for 75 inch tv so they couldn’t take! So they went away again. Another day arranged Monday 31st Jan to collect ! This was a successful pick up! So we waited. Then a repair update to ring n discuss so weds 2nd feb. I got call from repair centre telling me it was damaged screen n it was down to us to pay repair of £1750 approx. my husband point blank refused as tv had been on wall and been watched. We had done nothing to damage it. After numerous arguments over who was responsible ! We finally got through to a manager who agreed to repair it and have it reinstalled by curry’s!! So we were told it was being brought back to us on Fri 18 th feb.! So another day off work ! no show from curry’s !! So fri 25 th feb this day arrives guy comes to door ! He said I am not trained to install I don’t want to install I will leave it with you. I said swiftly I am not taking delivery of this item as I want to know it works. He took it away. Rearranged another redelivery day!! Mon 28th feb Two guys showed up with tool box I said please tell me this is happening today he said please tell me you have tv. I laughed they laughed until we realised it was serious. He went to his van rang his manager who told him the TV was still in repair shop. So they went away.another delivery date yet another day off work. Fri 4 th March TV arrived with 2 guys my husband had to help put up as it is a three man job which we specified on all previous correspondence all recorded ! The drivers dread doing it as it’s a massive TV. So all good we watching our new TV. They left us a repair report saying it had a brand new screen. Last night Friday 11th March sat down to watch film and a line appears again in same place !! TV works but line is not going!! We now have this whole thing again!! What are our rights to demand new product. Surely £5000 is a lot of money to be receiving this kind of treatment I have no faith in this product now. And although it’s got 5 year warranty it seems they can say what they like this is very stressful.0

I am assuming you luckily haven't paid anything yet (buy now pay in 12 months)
I would reject the tv, tell currys to pick it up and buy from richer sounds.3 -

I would reject it. I didn’t know curry’s offer a 5 year gtee tho. Richest sounds same price but with a 6 year gtee.. Curry’s would be the last place I went1

It came with 5 year warranty. We shall not use curry’s again unless they come good not impressed so far. 💁🏼 Thanks tho0

CRA gives them one chance to repair after which you can go for the final resolution which is to reject the goods for a refund... as its under 6 months old it is assumed a fault unless the retailer can prove otherwise but they are entitled to inspect it before accepting the rejection.2

Thank you all. That’s kinda we’re my heads at reject it all the way. Gonna let them pick it up n see what’s said about issue!0

Don't forget that since you bought the TV on credit, the credit company are jointly liable for the faulty TV. It's worth contacting them, tell them that you are rejecting the TV and you want the credit agreement cancelled.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.2 -
It's not only worth, it's essential.1
