Hello
I has a default with Vodafone, which defaulted on the 1st of March 2015, after 6 years this removed
However my mortgage application stumbled across something unexpected, Vodafone have added this back on.
I’ve done endless searching, which seems to be this can’t be added back on? Any help please

Contact Vodafone and ask them to remove it.0

A default recorded where? A CCJ (in England/Wales) falls off the register after 6 years (I believe); if it was never chased through the courts then the alleged debt may still exist but it has become statute-barred under the Limitations Act. (This means if any court claim is raised then there is a statutory defence to the claim). I don't know if defaults recorded with credit reference Agencies (CRAs) follow the same rule.
Contact the credit reference agencies to advise them that the alleged debt is statute barred and that it must be removed, and that you've raised this with Vodafone but they are ignoring your communications. See what they say to that.Jenni x0 -
Thanks Jenni.
I’ve raised this with Experian who are going to raise this with Vodafone0
