Isn't "Kind regards" an example of tautology?  Regards in that context already means 'best wishes', so "Kind best wishes" is excessive.

My tautology pet hate is "for free".  "For" is already short for "in exchange for" and free is short for "free of charge" so "in exchange for free of charge" is nonsensical.  Something is either obtained for nothing or is free of charge.  It can't be "obtained for free", any more that an expensive item can be "obtained for expensive".
'For free' is an example of the American creeping preposition.  American English is littered with the things: inside of, outside of, off of, for free, you name it; AmE is getting very untidy in its approach to sentence construction, indeed some of it barely makes sense.  'I forgot my purse at home' means 'I have left my purse behind'.  They also seem to be giving up on continuous past and present tenses, too, which leads to yet more imprecision.

Thank you so much for your help. That is wonderful.

I shall be typing that up & sending it off to them today.

    Undervalued

Thank you too. I appreciate your comments.
I do have a message on my phone as was stated. It is not vague.
It definitely states "I can refund your money minus the deposit of £500 once I have resold (pup), as I could have sold him 10 times over but refused as he was yours'.

It is worth knowing that they readvertised him & 2 other pups for a number of weeks on Pets4Homes & the advert was closed a few weeks ago.
They have never given me the option of taking the pup instead of a refund.
  • I had the same situation with a Great dane pup a few years ago. I had to take them to the Small Claims Court. They paid up before it got as far as court. Some right shysters about where dogs are concerned.
  • Thank you Silentmemory.

I completely agree. It does frustrate me somewhat as I had every intention of giving him a very loving home.
I would never dream of treating someone this way.
I will live and learn though ☺️
