Until the OP comes back and tells us whether they have any NCD applied to the renewal it is all guesswork as to whether that is the cause or whether it is something else.

One thing not mentioned on this thread , unless I missed it, is the effect your age has on prices after an accident, claimed for or not. The OP could be 17 and its normal for the price to go up. We got scraped and claimed directly from the owner of the vehicle concerned and reported it to LV and no increase in fee. We are a bit older than 17 though.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Thanks everyone, i did call my insurance company and and at least they gave me back 2 years no claims amd closed down the accident as no claim made. Because they didnt pay out to anyone. I really should have 3 years no claims, but I wont argue. I got back 2 so now I found cheaper quotes from the one they sent me. I just dont understand why cant they treat existing customers nice and making me shop around every year0

Unfortunately it was a lorry who i steered into because a car scared me passing me going well over 100mph on the motorway. So i had to report it, but the lorry driver didnt make a claim for 3 months so its closed down now. No claim made0

Hi, they removed my no claims, 3 years of it. That was my main problem because if its accident report only and no claim is made by anyone then my no claims should be untouched. I called them and got back 2 years no claim and the accident is closed now so i can shop around for a new quote0
