The morning is now becoming glorious, such a huge change from the rain-soaked grey days of winter. There's still no real heat in the sun and the wind is high, in fact it battered around the house all night. My cauliflower cheese was a disaster 😚 as I tried to make the sauce without flour. I'll eat it rather than waste it but I'll not really enjoy it. Happily, the massive pan of roasted peppers was successful so I can smother the cauli dish with them. I didn't make the lentil soup as I have enough to eat up and I'll only want to ditch the rubbish cauliflower cheese to eat the delicious soup!I managed to get a washing load together yesterday so that it could hang outside to dry. Funny how such things bring pleasure. More pleasure came from the country shop having bird peanuts back in stock after ages without. I even had my front door open for most of the day, the added bonus being that there's no flies around yet so my home wasn't invaded.Today will be a surprise, I've nothing much planned so will see what appears. My thoughts are with Ruby and her family. Such an awful tragedy for them all.Nelski, I hope that your Mum is responding to treatment.Happy Sunday to all.12

Morning everyone, thanks for the start Gers.
Bright here this morning so I'm meeting a friend for a walk. We will take our own coffee. The Mexican themed 60th birthday was good last night. Lots of folk in sombreros and ponchos and various other dress up. I prepared some food to take along and finished prepping other bits whilst there. Felt like chief cook and bottle washer as usual! Got home around midnight, so another late night and my head is sore this morning due to dehydration, so will drink lots today.Dinner today is lamb curry. DH and I are going to see ‘Phantom of the Open’ later which looks funny – I love Mark Rylance. Will also get some washing on the line and there’s ironing to do. Busy day!
Thinking of Ruby and family, Nels and her Mum, NRA and her Dad, and poppy. Hugs to anyone else I’ve missed, sorry x
Have a good day all.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another lovely sunny day is forecast but the temp slightly down on yesterday. Then forecast to climb again for the coming week. Some nice warm sunshine has been a long time coming!
My freezer sort out yesterday produced some sliced beef in gravy that hadn't got on the itinerary so that is now out for my lunch with an assortment of veg. And for the umpteenth time I vow once again to keep both freezers organised and the new itineraries up to date!!
I stripped my bed this morning and the bedding is now merrily washing away. I have yet to remake the bed but I am still soldiering on with the SK so it will be done in stages!
My thoughts have been with RUBY and her family coping with the terrible tragedy that has befallen them. Also NELS and NRA with a parent in hospital. ((HUGS)) for all else in need of them. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Beautiful day here. Have got the washing out on the line and am now waiting for a food delivery shortly. If it warms up a may do a little pruning in the garden. I am very slow and everything exhausts me so I have to pace myself.
Gers, would it be worth liquidising the failed cauliflower cheese and calling it soup?!9 -
Hello all, like Gers, I hail the start of a lovely day, but mine started quite a bit later ! The wind seems has to died down a bit though.
I managed to find a sheltered spot outside yesterday and did some mending, a pair of pj's and a hole which appeared in my toilet mat, strange that last one. Then I trimmed the dead flower spikes from a bush in the front garden and tidied up the dead leaves from my day lily's which are sprouting already. They're a lovely sight when they're out.
Today Dad is coming over for the day so I shall have to be ringmaster should any arguments discussions get a bit heated ! I will cook a roast chicken for lunch and there will be a selection of sandwiches for tea, and his favourite Vienetta for pudding.
Right I suppose I'd better start peeling spuds.
Thinking of RedRuby and family, NRA and her Dad and our lovely Nels and her Mum.
TA you've just reminded me to cross a chicken off my list !!
Take care all, hugs to everyone in need.

Just a quick message to thank you all for the messages and thoughts re my nephew, we are still in shock and just devestated really, I have taken tomorrow off work to try and help them if I can, I keep thinking that there is so much to do and they are not going to want to do it.
Much love and thanks to you all xxx11 -

I did some recently and left loads of little twigs for the birds to use (i.e. CBA'd to clear every last thing up).

Morning everyone
I enjoyed my morning with dad - he was full of chat. we bought a couple of Audible books and sent an email to DD. She's visiting a friend in Stockholm this weekend - it really fascinates dad how an email still reaches her when she is in the 'wrong' place.
I've given up trying to explain - he likes thinking it's amazing.
Lovely sunny day here again - I'm planning to start painting my fence this afternoon - I'll do about an hour then sit and read my Sunday Times. There are daffodils out in a planter in the back garden which little one planted - she's so excited by them.
First I'm going to make a chilli and that can cook while I'm outside - will freeze some and have it for tea tomorrow. Going to do roast veg, chicken and couscous for today's tea.
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care x8
