Does this impact my credit score?

Options
Hi i opened an amazon mastercard recently and did not realise this defaulted as my main payment method on my account

so i had spent £66 and had a £5 minimum payment due on the cc yesterday which i forgot to pay, however i have paid the full balance today and removed this cc from my amazon account

but does this missed payment by a day effect my credit score?

    Probably, but that's not important.

You need to check to see whether it has been marked as a late payment. It may take a few weeks to appear.

You could be proactive and phone and apologize and see if they can do anything.

It could get reported to your credit credit, technically it should but you might get lucky depending how often NewDay report to the CRAs.

You don't have a score so don't worry about the meaningless number you've been shown. 1 late payment on an otherwise well managed credit record isn't a massive deal and some lenders may even view it as a positive (i.e. a chance for them to make money from you).

Lenders don't make decisions on giving credit on the basis that a customer making a late payment is attractive because they might make some money, they make money from all customer use of the card through merchant fees - the 1.75% interchange fee
