Multi purpose compost for houseplants?
I used to be able to buy a particular J Arthur Bowers multi purpose compost that the packaging mentioned being also suitable for use with houseplants. This used to save money because I used it for houseplants as well as tubs and outside pots in summer. My local garden centres don't seem to stock it anymore and none of the other composts they have mention houseplants in the packaging, just outside use only and the staff seemed wary to recommend anything.. Any suggestions?

I don't think there's any magic in houseplant compost, perhaps a bit more free draining or longer lasting nutrients? But I always use bog standard for everything anyway, including seed sowing. maybe if something in particular like acid soil loving I'd have to think againGardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0

I used to use the Tomato growbags for seeds, houseplants and bedding plants in pots.I found the Poundland stuff is good and that's even a pound cheaper. If you want Bowers then No 2 should be fine.

We went to Wilco today and bought 3 big bags of compost for £10. We had some last year which I used for my tomato plants and they were amazing.0

Using poundland compost for seeds I've found it dries out really quickly.
Ok for conditioning heavy soil thoughI can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
