VAT invoice

I bought some bathroom cladding online from a website called cladding world, Didn't get ay paperwork with the order when it arrived, and I didn't get a VAT receipt or invoice of any sort.
There an e-mail confirming the order that's all I have

I've been asking for a month via the online support, just keep getting ignored. the phone number on the website doesn't work.
what can I do to get a VAT invoice?

Are you VAT registered? You only have a right to a VAT invoice if both parties are.

In the absence of a VAT invoice HMRC will accept alternative evidence of the taxable supply to support the claim.

you don't 'need' a vat invoice just put it through your books with a note saying what happened.

That requires an official VAT document. Absence of same will see the reclaim disallowed on inspection.

As I stated above, HMRC will accept alternative evidence of the VAT supply should a VAT invoice not be available. Evidence of the purchase for example should suffice.
