So Energy takes us off a Fixed Tariff with End date of 26th July 2023

We were transferred over from esb to So Energy.  Due to an issue with esb that we had to deal with through the ombudsman, we had been left on a tariff that was a good deal and ended for everyone else months previously.  When we were moved over to So Energy, we were transferred onto the same rate with a Price Guarantee and Tariff End date of 26th July 2023, which seems to have been set up by So Energy and we were informed we were on this price when we were transferred to them in the deal between esb and So Energy. OK had we still been with esb there might not have been the end date, but to have it for another 18 months seemed acceptable to us. All was fine, we got our last bill at the price rate, with the bill stating the rate and the tariff end date 26th July 2023.  Then yesterday I got an email saying our electricity price was changing, which I thought odd as we were on this fixed-rate deal, and when I look on the So energy site we seem to have had our electricity swapped onto So Flex on 16th March 2022.  Now we have not been informed that we were being swapped and as yet our gas still seems to be on the fixed-rate deal it was when we swapped, not sure how we can have electricity on one dea and gas on another, however that is beside the point...what I'm asking is it is legal for them to just swap us from a fixed rate deal, one that they put us onto, without even informing us?

But that deal was supposed to have ended was it part of the ombudsman ruling that you were to be kept on it?
or was there an error that has now been rectified ?

I'm sure it was acceptable, but it sounds like a mistake...
If you had stayed with ESB when should it have ended for you?
