Holiday Quote differs when booking

Trying to book a holiday through TUI and the price quoted is brilliant but when I go to book the price increases by £2000. I've spoken to them and its happened due to various reasons ranging from it being a popular resort to I'm not reading the quote correctly. My local TUI store agrees with me but cannot price match the quote. What are your rights when you been given a quote but it differs dramatically?

You have no rights......a £2000 difference is a mistake and they have no obligation to honour the price1

Are you reading it correctly?0 -
Yes and the quote has come from TUI direct. I was doubting myself if I'm honest so the man in TUI did the same and got exactly the same as me.0

If you quote specifics it should be easy enough to check online.Dates - resort - hotel - number of passengers - board wanted - departure airport.I find Holiday Hypermarket good - it's a TUI website essentially and should be the same price (give or take a few quid) as their regular online site.

Can you screen shot and post the TUI quote (obscure all the personal info first)?0

Yes of course0

I just did a search for the same. Whilst the base cost has increased slightly (£1491.11 pp) and I did not apply your discount codes, the £5964.44 total was the same price right through to the point of entering credit card details. I could not replicate the same final screen price change that you had been getting.
The test was for 4A/2C as per your screen shot. I randomly gave the child ages as 8 years. The system allocated 2x free child places. It also allocated 2x One Bedroom Apartments.
I wonder if your price difference when you try might be down to either the ages of the children not qualifying for free children places (when you add dates of birth on the name page it can change the pricing), or if the apartment unit type was changed.
I suspect a child age / free kids issue.0 -
Maybe your right there. If I book through the normal TUI website they do offer me a FCP for 14 year old. You've just given me an idea actually......... if I obtained a quote for 2ad and 1 child I wonder if it would make a difference.... I'll be right back!0

Just done it and if I do 2 separate quotes both times the quotes match the final booking. They will give me a FCP on the booking for the 14 year old but not 17 year old, which is understandable, I think the initial quote is for 2 x FCP but when you book its unfortunately giving you one! I'm presuming this is a TUi system fault0

It is one free kids' place in each selected hotel room or selected apartment type or villa with a minimum of two full-paying adults.
Your 17 year old does not qualify. Max age is 16 years.
If you enter the initial search with 2 children you will find the price you were quoted. Problem is you don’t have 2 children. Your party size for the search should be 5A/1C.
It is not so much a TUI fault, more the search parameters.1
