My monthly direct debit is increasing by c.86% - is this correct or should the max increase be 54%?

  • @Grey_Critic energy companies are being forced to sell below cost to domestic customers, so OFGEM is protecting us to some extent.

    Your opinion about making sure profits stay excessive is rather flawed.

    You can thank your lucky stars you are not a business customer or using oil or LPG to heat your home.

    I have refused to be held hostage and said I will continue with my current DD and make interim payments to control. Personally I am of the opinion that thye suppliers are making sure their profit margins stay excessive - Ofgem are certainly not on the side of the consumer.
    Discuss that with the energy companies that went out of business last year because of OFGEM's enforced price cap. Wait, you can't...
