I informed Santander i was traveling.
What did you inform them of and when. Travelling for 12 days is less than many people take an annual holiday for.
Santander don't control how many holidays someone is entitled to. In any case, there are some 12 million people (aka pensioners) in the UK on permanent holidays

More importantly, you can tell Santander where you are going to and for how long

Do you have another bank account or credit card that is still in UK? Even if you don't have that card with you - could you a) transfer money over to one of your friends who could pay for things on your behalf or b) use Apple/Google pay to pay for hotels etc in advance.

If Santander is your only account, could you ask a family member to transfer some money to you using something like Western Union Transfer?

Just don't make the request for money via WhatsApp/social media, use a voice call instead.
