Hi, 

I have recently had covid in the last 90 days and am due to travel to New York next month. In order to enter the USA I need to have a covid recovery certificate as I can not test. Does anyone know how I go about getting this document?

You will need to search for a private doctor who can provide this . It’s not a service available from the NHS .

not sure that you cannot test. Yes there is a chance with a PCR you may still show positive for, on average, 3 to 4 weeks but a Lateral flow should show negative much quicker (and will be much cheaper than a private doctors letter)

Have you done a test to see if you still test positive?

NHS website says : You should not do a PCR test within 90 days of your positive result, unless:

• you get any new main symptoms of COVID-19
• you need to get a PCR test because you’re travelling to or from the UK
• you’re advised to get a follow-up PCR test after a positive rapid lateral flow test result
