Creating an account with British gas

Hi,

so I moved into a property in December and received the usual letters from British Gas to pay what I’ve used. 
I’ve not been able to register with my online account - it’s asking for my name and address as they appear on any correspondence they’ve sent me. What confuses me is they don’t know my details because I haven’t registered with them. I paid and initial bill via BACS in January and haven’t had anything else off them since then, I’m concerned I’ll get a massive bill whenever they get round to sending me something again. 

Any help or advice would be appreciated as I’m quite stressed about it. I plan on ringing them today but it’s very difficult as I work Monday to Friday 8-5 and don’t really have chance to call energy suppliers in the middle of a shift.

    Was the bill you received in January was it in your name ?   There will also be an account number and a MPAN number on it.
    Any emails ended up in Spam ?
