Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy start - forecast is for a decent day - we'll see. I have wash load ready to peg out on the line, got a load line dried yesterday.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was chicken wrapped in smoked bacon with pasta and mushrooms in a creamy sauce. We have plenty of bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms - so thinking breakfast for dinner - I really don't want to go out and buy anything as have a click and collect food shop for tomorrow - I'll pick it up on my way home from work at lunchtime. I've only shopped for top up's for salad, rolls, - the minimum amount. Fridge is looking bare - I'm sure there's still wiggle room for cutting back so will keep going with this - enjoying finding what I have in store cupboard and freezers and using them up to make meals.
Day off today but have quite a few things on the "to do" list as always - will just potter along.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another cold and frosty start but the sun is shining and we are forecast 14 deg later! Wow almost summer!!
A flying visit from me as the DGDs are still in bed and will be to wake up, feed and water and then away to school. They are on the bus this morning so it's going to be all rush.
Their theatre school is putting on a fund raising evening for Ukraine tonight. I was given a rendition of their performances last night after they had made some fancy buns for the refreshment stall. I need to clean the kitchen again this morning after it got a good clean yesterday. Silly me, but I didn't know there would be baking going on after school!!
So it's Friday Tidy with dust and vac all round for me, with the bonus of doing the kitchen again! Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Thinking especially of NELS and NRA with parents in hospital. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -
Morning folks.Another bright start to the day, perhaps it'll linger this time.Yesterday my only real effort was put into taking a friend to and from an appointment she had a few miles away. Her car is out of action and her husband has his van for work.Today I have a parcel to post so I have to go to Oban for that and later I'm hoping to visit an elderly neighbour for a chat. If the weather is still fine I'd like to take him out for some fresh air - we'll see.Special thoughts of strength to Nelski and NRA. 🌺🌺 Happy Friday to all.14

Morning All
Lovely and bright this morning, hope it stays that way. Yesterday was a great start but quickly went downhill, the showers were really heavy. So glad I didn't put the washing out!
Washing on the pulley again as I'm going for dinner in Glasgow after work with DD and family. DS1 and family should be here when I get home, they will let themselves in and make a mess get settled until I get back.
I got up early to speak to DS2 (in Thailand) but he's out for lunch! Will catch up with him later.
Lovely meal out last night, I had a calzone, half of which is in the fridge it was so big. I'm sure DS1 will have it as a light snack later.
Have a good day everyone, take care. XX14 -
Hi everyone, Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I had a lovely day even though it was very quiet. The meal last night was mixed, the starters and puddings were good but the mains were only adequate, I could have done better at home. It wouldn't have mattered as much apart from the cost. It's a posh pub but the prices were extortionate and not even because of alcohol either, I had a soft drink and Steve had a small beer and a glass of wine. We'd not been there since before the pandemic and I don't think we'll go again in a hurry. We've got L,B and E coming to celebrate my birthday weekend today. B and E are coming this morning but L has a drinks tasting until mid-afternoon so will come by train. I've got a hair appointment at 9.30 so I want to get some cinnamon buns on the go and leave them to prove while I'm there. I also need to think about a meal for tonight but I'm lacking inspiration. Maybe my baked sweet and sour chicken with broccoli and cashews which Laura loves. Nelski, I hope your mum has made it to a ward and is getting the treatment she needs. NRA, thinking fo you and your dad. Have a good day.16

Morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc.
Long day yesterday and didn't get home until after 7pm. DH had cooked but I'd bought veg in my lunch hour, so dinner was delayed until the veg was ready. DD is home for the weekend. Managed to clip the kerb and bust her tyre en route, so had to call out a mobile guy. Not the first time she's done this either!
WFH again today - lots going on, a few HR issues and the powers that be are decommissioning our old pre-Covid office. I will be going in next week to pack crates - even had a (male) manager tell me he couldn't possibly lift heavy boxes and could I do it for him. Couldn't make it up.
Glad you had a nice day yesterday snoozer but disappointing about your main course. I think a lot of places are still struggling to get staff post-covid and give that as an excuse.
I hope your Mum is more comfortable Nelski.
Hugs to NRA, Florence, Izzy and anyone else I've missed x
We are off out tonight to a pub with a live band. A few of us going so should be good. No drinking for me though as I have FC tomorrow morning and hoping for a loss!
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Good morning everyone
Nice bright morning here - supposed to be nice all day - in fact all weekend, so fingers crossed.
Little one came for her tea last night - the show we were going to at our local theatre was cancelled because some of the cast members have Covid. Of course she wanted to know exactly which characters are affected -' is it George the giant granny, or fox or the little mouse who squeaks? And will they have it for a long time like you granny?'
Her questions are never-ending. Anyways, it will be on in November instead.
Work at lunchtime today - my first time doing five full afternoons since I went back - we'll spend most of the afternoon in the garden.
Hope your mum is ok Nelski and settled on a ward now.
Snoozer and Camelot - enjoy your family visits this weekend.
Eldest DD is away to Stockholm this weekend to visit her friend - I never know where she's going to be next!
Well I'm going to check my bank and get some jobs done.
Hope everyone has a good day x
