Hi. I moved into my flat last March and tried to sign up with bulb energy. I thought i had managed it and sent the pictures of my electric meter readings. But I've tried to log in to give them up to date readings and found i can't log in. Looked for info and found they have gone bust now. I've had no letters or contact about out this from them or any company. I've checked my bank account and they never actually took a payment from me. Is there anyway to see who is supplying the electricity?

You can check your supplier here:If your switch to Bulb didn't go through, chances are you are still being supplied by your original supplier (the one you had on the day you moved in). Did you register with them at the time?

Just to be accurate, Bulb hasn’t gone bust: it is still trading but being run by an Ofgem-appointed Special Administrator.0

Have you put the money safely to one side for when you are eventually billed?
Have you manually done the calculations between what your meter read last March and now, as to how much you have used?
Do you know what rates you "thought" you were on?
Once you know who the deemed supplier is (from using the link above) I'm sure someone will be able to give you the rates of what the various deemed tariffs applicable since then. What region are you in?How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Thanks for that, i followed the link and it says the network operator is SP energy networks. I didn't register as i didn't know who it was so i took meter readings the day i moved in and tried to join bulb. I had sent them eveything through.
I have the money so its not an issue but I'd like to get it paid. Should i phone SP and let them know whats happened or do you think i should go straight to bulb/administrator?1 -

I only have electricity. I was sure i got connected to bulb, they asked for meter readings and i sent them. I also have the mpan and sent that too.
I'll call SPEN and see what they say. Thanks.0 -
SPEN says I'm with Scottish power. I'll need to contact them. Seems strange they have never tried to contact me.0

As you know the date you moved in and have photo of the meter readings, it should not be difficult for them to enrol you and calculate the bill.1
