Could anyone assist. I didn't realise until someone said. I have been with Virgin for years. I pay 80 plus for tv phone etc. Our internet went really bad for about 1 month. I rang them and they said we can improve your internet if you sign up to another contract. I just said yes. But, 1. I should have said, I am paying enough you should sort the internet, 2. I didn't realise it is a 2 year contract. I have been silly. But when I have thought about it, and hearing to people, apparently lots of companies do this, lower the speed etc to make you go into a contract. How do I get out of it? x

No provider will 100% guarantee full internet speed - https://www.virginmedia.com/legal/speed-policyThe error here was just saying yes. But you're sort of committed now so hopefully you received a discount for two years. If not... oh dear. Next time be not so hasty.0

"and hearing to people, apparently lots of companies do this, lower the speed etc to make you go into a contract.", as above, that's not true whatsoever regardless of what 'people say'.0
