Eve mattress - failed collection

I bought the eve sleep away mattress recently which comes with a 30 day return policy and decided to return it.

Eve arranged a collection with an 11 hour window, 8am-7pm, and said I might not get a tracking link, which I didn’t.

I took the day off and waited in all day then bizarrely DHL turned up at 7am the following morning, didn’t knock, and quietly slid the return label through the door presumably in some attempt to prove they had come to collect.

I’ve contacted Eve about this and they have offered to rearrange the collection but they won’t give me a tracking link or a shorter time window. They’re also refusing to offer a weekend collection meaning I’ll need another day off.

Where do I stand with this? Should they offer me compensation in the same way as if I had a delivery not turn up or are collections different?

I really don’t want them to try and justify keeping my money when, to be honest, the mattress is so rubbish but then again it’ll cost me more taking two days off work.
