    Amazing how many installers say one does not need BC approval and not really read the regs properly. It is the home owners who are liable to ensure correct documentation when it comes to any sale. 
     When it comes to a sale, the solicitor will ask for documentation, the seller's solicitor will reply 'Unavailable' and the matter will be solved with cheap indemnity insurance. The insurance won't be necessary either if the structure has been there long enough, but it meets a perceived need.
