E.on Next has issued refunds and goodwill payments to customers after an error meant some users on standard tariffs were overcharged. The energy firm says the issue is now resolved and customers won't need to do anything to get their money back - but you should check your bill if you think you might have been affected...

  • I have the same issue with a different supplier EDF, transferred from my original supplier fixed tariff exp Oct 2021 energy increased & no fixed offers. 
    New tariff increased Safeguard Assists rates were better than most. During this time to date I haven't received any correspondence from EDF other than the last bill Jan 2022.
    Following Martins recent advice I wanted to check usage, readings recorded & tariff to calculate an estimate DD.
    EDF have increased tariff rates without notice, Unit rate & Standing charge exceed current Cap charged at the  expected April rate. 
    Unsure how to proceed I've contacted them with no acknowledgement or relevant response.

    EDF bill their DD customers every six months. If you want a bill sooner than that, contact their Customer Services and ask them to generate one.
    EDF have increased tariff rates without notice, Unit rate & Standing charge exceed current Cap charged at the  expected April rate.
    EDF are displaying the April rates online already, but aren't charging them yet.
