BelMalinois said:Have you looked at the photo Hermes took when they delivered the package? You may be able to tell from this whether it appears to have been tampered with. I recently had a buyer claim a parcel arrived crushed and opened but the Hermes photo showed otherwise.
I rarely now use Hermes as their rate of missing and damaged items is excessive compared to the other couriers.
I recently received a parcel that was 3/4 destroyed, the picture the driver took only showed 1/4 of the box, you needn't guess which 1/4 it was! I should add that wasn't Hermes.
Fortunately the seller took my word and sent a replacement.

This happened to me once, ebay asked them to return the package to me, at which point the weight recorded was clearly very different and the buyer had a history of saying they didn't receive the item upon further investigation from eBay. Unless of course their delivery driver has a history of stealing what's inside, who knows ! But I did eventually get my funds back from eBay.0
