Which comparison site?
About a year ago, when downsizing, I looked at energy comparison sites for the first time.
I found them hard to understand, or find the information I was looking for, though Citizens Advice
and one other were better.
However, when contacting suppliers, all the recommended tariffs had expired.
So it appeared the sites were badly out of date.
I have very low energy usage, so want to find a supplier with a low standing charge.
What comparison sites would you recommend?
Or are there a couple of suppliers who are noted for low standing charges?

Unfortunately the days of low standing charges are long gone (as are the days of cheap energy). You will be very fortunate to find a tariff with a low standing charge.

Energy comparison sites are now defunct. Ain’t gonna be no more cheap energy.1

I have very low energy usage, so want to find a supplier with a low standing charge.Octopus standing charge for electricity is about half the "Ofgem" rate (from April 1st.) It is about 24p as opposed to 48p, in my region (standing charges vary by region). Gas is the same as everyone else. You will be shocked by the kWh prices, from anyone, compared with what you were looking at a year ago. The few new tariffs that get announced, lately, are usually superced in a matter of days.0

The price comparison sites are still there but they are not showing the standard variable tariffs as they are pretty much all the same and very few suppliers will take new customers on those tariffs. The only thing the sites are good for now is for looking at how expensive fixes are.goodValue said:

Does this mean that it is very difficult to change supplier now?

It’s not impossible to change; the difficulty is in finding any tariff being offered at the moment that’s not ridiculously high. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

No. Takes 5 minutes, as always. But not all suppliers are taking on new customers.
