In our previous property, the insurance were only interested if the underpinning had taken place in the previous 5 yrs. We've moved on now but in the 7 yrs we owned the property we were never asked for an engineers report or refused a quotation.1

Parents bought an underpinned property in the 1980's (work done in 1970's).Never had any issues with it and this is despite building work and significant construction work taking place in the surrounding areas in that time.By all means get a surveyor to review (would've for property that ages anyway) but it wouldn't put me off.Recent movement is more of a concernMay you find your sister soon Helli.
