What are You Buying a Little Extra of [because of rising prices]?

Not stockpiling as such, I just don't have the space for it, but I buy in bulk every couple of months from TFW. Tins of soups, tuna, pasta, rice etc. We work through these, then bulk buy again. It keeps me away from the shops
Just because I disagree with you, doesn't mean I hate you. We need to understand this as a Society
Each morning we are born again, what we do today is what matters the most.

Anything that's not going to go off, including things like cheese. When I open the second, I replace the 'spare'. That means good stock rotation. This is me and, if you can, it makes the most sense. It's not "hoarding" but allows for situations where you can't shop.It does require the minor work of actually rotating stock and not just shoving new cans, etc at the front.1

Perhaps people have taken the word "stockpiling" wrong... despite me writing "buying a little extra"
I have edited the title.3 -

Nothing. Because stockpiling and/or selfish excessive buying behaviour, will only exacerbate the current problems even further.
Of what, rising prices?
May as well never take advantage of "buy X get X free" deals as that could be similar.3 -

I'm not sure there's ever going to be a run on ear cleaners (? what they ?), dishwasher tablets or sandwich bags though ..... none are what this household would consider essential items that we couldn't manage without.
[Actually, we do. It was left in the property when we bought the house. Having used it just once, we decided it was much simpler to just stick with manually washing up at the sink in a bowl, so it's now just somewhere to keep the spare tea towels! ]2 -

I still also think that buying more of something will just make the prices go up anyway, supply & demand etc.

I find that if I buy extra snacks for my husband he just scoffs more of them, so it's counter productive. But it does work for canned organic tomatoes and also milk, because I can freeze that.0

I'm the same with the sandwich bags, but I instead use them to clear up after my dogs. I usually have about 6 packets in a drawer because sometimes they are just never available to purchase for weeks at a time. Plus I'm scared that they will one day be banned as plastic straws were, and I will have to buy them from Amazon for 5x the price.
And to be honest, I do shamefully have an extra couple of wheat products in my Tesco online basket right now, as I read that wheat will be going up in price because of Russia's war against Ukraine.0 -
A few years ago before Brexit I started to keep a healthy supply of most things, it was useful during the start of the pandemic so I will keep it going. It's not stockpilling it's looking after yourself, who wants a sore bum0
